Audio & Transitions
First of all I am going to be looking at the audio. In the previous post I have already cut most of the audio for the 'Character Falling', which only covered this clip. This is where I have decided to drag the audio for this out also to the titles. I did this because I thought it would be really effective and make the titles more interesting than just the titles on their own.
Another reason I decided to stretch the audio out to the titles as well was because the noise that is at the end of the clip was really too long I felt for the falling clip itself, which I suppose the titles came in handy because it then saved me cutting the audio. But gave me some audio for the titles. However, I am not sure if this is really suitable for the titles as well, or whether I should cut up the audio. I will see how it works with the other half of the trailer before doing anything drastic and regretting it later.

Now I am going to be thinking about the transition between the falling clips and the title clip and the two title clips themselves. First of all the transition for the falling clip and the first title. I originally wanted to use the pen tool for this, because I wanted to gradually make the clip fad at a certain point on the falling clip by setting the point where it would fade. Then set the point where I wanted the title clip to fade into view. However, this was not possible because the pen tool did not work on the document for some reason; so I had to change my plan. This is where I remembered a transition which I came across in a previous post. This transition was known as Dip to Black. This transition sort of worked like the faded effect which I wanted. The first clip faded to black which was what I wanted, however, it did not fade back into the title clip as much as I wanted too. But this was the best transition which I could find and it is a very effective transition.

I changed the settings for this transition, however I did it customary rather than using the setting which were already there. I did this by clicking a little dotted arrow at the top right hand side of the effects panel. Here I was able to adjust the transition however I wanted. As the title clip is not as long as the Character Falling clip I felt that making the transition sit in the middle of the two would take up to much of the title clip; therefore not making much time for the next transition between that and the next title.
So I adjusted the transition. I adjusted it by dragging the lilac box in between the two clips and positioned it where I wanted it to be. I put it so that it was about 10 milliseconds into the title clip. I did 10 milliseconds because as I mentioned above the title clip is not very long as it is about 2 and a half seconds long. Again as mentioned above it will then give it enough time for the title to be shown and will give enough room to create the next transition.
I then adjusted the length of the transition. I did this by placing my mouse at the end of the transition and a little red square bracket with an arrow will appear. I then dragged the transition to where I wanted it to start in the character falling clip. I did this because I did not want the transition to take over the whole falling clip. So, I placed it so that the transition in this part lasted about 30 milliseconds. I choose 30 milliseconds because if I had them both at 10 milliseconds the transition will go too fast. I still wanted to see the transition and have it gradually happen rather than just happen. That is this transition sorted.

Transitions between the two title clips
Now for the two title clips. In a previous blog post I mentioned about finding a transition which would be perfect for this. This was known as the Page Peel. I gave this transition a try between the two titles, however, I don't feel that it worked very well. I think this was because the Page peel peels the wrong way. If we was in Japan then I would have considered it, as we are not, then I want the page turning from right to left (this is because we read left to right not right to left).

So I tried the other transitions within the Page Peel Folder to see if this would fix my problem. I tried them all however, they were not what I was looking for. They ended up being different ways of peeling. In the end I was not sure whether to use the Page Peel transition itself, so I decided to have a little exploration of the other transitions to see whether there is something else that worked just as well.
I have had a look at a few other within the pack and there were a few that were there I liked, however did not make much of an impact. These were in the Dissolve folder. These were known as Additive Dissolve and Cross Dissolve. Additive dissolve gave off a lighting effect before before changing and the Cross Dissolve gave off a zooming effect.

For the settings of the transition itself. I am using both custom and alignment together. I kept the alignment of the transition to the centre. I then used the custom part of the transition to shorten the transition between the two titles. I did this because as I mentioned above they are not very long and they will both will most likely have transitions from other clips to comply with as well as the one between them. So I made it about 10 milliseconds from the centre each side. I thought this was appropriate for the reason above, but also you still saw the transition even thought it was a little fast paced.
